As a complete beginner at 59 to any watersport I was somewhat cautious about a new sport. Simon at Pro Kite Surfing reassuring teaching style with an emphasis on safety alleviated any concerns right from the start. All equipment used excellent and right up to date. Each lesson built on the last with recapping throughout. This was a fabulous introduction to the sport which has created a new passion in my life. This is all down to the excellent teaching in a safe environment that has built confidence. ProKite Surfing in Rhyl are first class. I cannot recommend them enough.

Excellent facility to learn. Professional, friendly and experienced staff who provide both great practical and theoretical teaching. School's equipment is top of the range and of great quality. Would highly recommend this school to any beginner or intermediate kitesurfer.

Simon and Jay are fantastic! Having done multiple watersports over the years I can say that the facilities, equipment and quality of teaching are the best I have experienced. It is an ideal place to learn with plenty of space and expert instruction. The lessons are tailored to you and not only cover what you would expect but loads of other information to allow you progress safely on the water.

No need to look any further than this kite school. It has everything you need to become an independent kite surfer, fantastic tuition, lots and lots of time on the equipment, testing different equipment to ensure you find things that suit you, your body type and style of riding and all done within a safe environment. You don’t just get your lessons here, you become a part of a great community, everybody willing to help everybody out so you get to learn even more once you become independent. I loved learning here because of the flat lagoons that form on the incoming and outgoing tides, flat water, waist deep proves so beneficial when starting off. The hot showers, food and beverages help out after a great session also :) . All under one roof, what more could you ask for. 5* all the way.

I'm a young 59 year old. I had never tried kitesurfing until booking some lessons at Simon's school in Rhyl. Simon and his staff were as enthusiastic as I was to get me kitesurfing and I was amazed at how patient and professional they were with me in each lesson. I was paired up during each lesson, sharing a kite, which was great as I learnt a lot from watching another novice. Each lesson was a full on and tiring 4 hours minimum, we did a lot of laughing, I loved it. The kit they gave me to use was very new. I was pretty useless to be honest but thanks to Simon and Jay both not letting me off the hook (so to speak), I reckon I'm now a safe and confident kitesurfer. I loved the experience of learning with Simon and have recommended him and his school to a lot of people. I had a fabulous experience there.

Fantastic course and training from highly professional instructors in a great location. The facilities at PKS in Rhyl are amazing and provide a great atmosphere for learning and for socialising after your session! I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who wants to take up the sport.

Learning to kitesurf with Simon Jones and Pro Kitesurfing at Rhyl has been fantastic. Today was perfect conditions - good wind, favourable tide and the fantastic flat lagoons. I had never expected to learn so much: transitions, downwind, toeside riding, toeside carving transitions, and a jump or two. Quite an afternoon really. I'm still buzzing, Simon is a superb teacher - he builds confidence, demonstrates effectively, spots the detail in posture, kite position, board position, angle etc etc, but (and this is key to good teaching), knows when to mention what. He also insists on all safety aspects and that his students know and understand them. Clubhouse and facilites are relaxed, welcoming and COVID compliant. The wider PKS team are great too. I am looking forwards to years of safe, but exhilarating riding.

Over the past few months of training I was amazing how much I was able to learn from Simon Jones. His teaching methods are fresh and original and are put across in ways to easily understand. He's able to quickly identify peoples strengths and weaknesses and work with this information achieve the most from each lesson. Great facilities, right on the beach with hot showers, cooking, relaxing and cleaning facilities.
