The school is on the beach, easy and free parking, shallow water, That's really nice for learning, good and nice instructors, In summer the toilet near the beach are also open. In Winter toilets are in the kiteshop near town, but that is 1 km away, so take a dump before you go to the beach. In summer the toilet near the beach are also open.

I had a good time practicing with soalsurf. It wasn't my first kiteschool but I switched to soalsurf. That was a great decision. Lessons where tailor made to fit my needs and I progressed a lot faster than before. In the mean time I managed to be independent in kitesurfing. Many thanks to Soalsurf, I highly recommend them.

I had 3 lessons of which 2 were held very good and nice (Leonie and Jelle) However the lesson given by Stephan was not too good. I did not receive any tips, any remark how to improve only when i asked i got one comment (in 2 hours) For the price and the type of school I think this is not ok. For me this was a big disappointment and that is also why I told Jelle about this experience and Jelle his lesson was really good like also Leonie's lesson. Rob

First kitesurfing lesson for the entire class and the instructor effortlessly saw the relative skill levels and adjusted his explanation and practice tasks accordingly. Definitely got the taste for more. On-site surf-shop with good quality items and substantial discounts on previous years' equipment.

Really nice school, prices are alright and the instructors really let you learn at your pace. They are also friendly and nice. Also the Equipment is chosen For your needs and they have basically everything. One downside is changing of instructors which sometimes is a little strange since you and the instructor have to get Used to each other again. Overall every single instructor ist great.

This course was better than I expected it to be. I learned a lot, feel comfortable with teaching the discovery lessson and had fun. The instructor was very calm and explained everything very clearly, really took his time to make us understand the theoretical concepts and the practical way of teaching

We had lessons at Workum. Due the lack of wind, we had half of the sessions with too little wind for real good training. It was better to cancel the lessons instead of trying to make the best of it. The other half, the wind was better and improvement of our skills went lot better. Friendly teachers, good gear. Nice beginner spot.

I enjoyed my private course at Soalsurf in Workum (NL). The fact that the water is very shallow and a lack of waves makes it easier for a beginner to learn kitesurfing. Whenever you crash your kite, you can simply stand up and relaunch your kite. The instructors were all very young but talented kite surfers. Some of them are attached to a kitesurfing riders team. I’ve had several different instructors. This has pros and cons. I now know which instructors I feel more comfortable with and what teaching style works for me. It’s nice to receive tips and tricks from several different instructors, but on the other hand you need to get to know the new instructor and inform her/him on what you did during the previous classes. So (s)he knows where you are in terms of progress. This takes away precious time. All instructors were very friendly and patient. Perfect for a beginner who still messes things up sometimes. Soalsurf has a lot of equipment to choose from. They own many Ozone kites, but have different brands as well. So even with light wind conditions I was able to get out with a 16 m2 kite! (I’m a petite chick). They also have wetsuits available if you don’t have one yourself. The harnesses were all seat harnesses. Perhaps not as comfortable but functional. I am happy with my choice for Soalsurf kitesurfing school. I already planned my follow up course as I’m looking forward to getting better at kitesurfing. :-)

Great course with a great Group of People! Learned alot more than expected! Atc Trainer was well prepared and always gave good Details insights to the topic. Using the whiteboard to visualize alot of the physics and giving good, clear examples was awesome! In total it was a great experience!

The oceanography and meteorology are quite in depth, but not in depth enough to truly understand it or explain it to students. I feel that just knowing the cumulonimbus should be enough for an assistant. the rest is better suited for an instructor. I would much rather see that there is more time for lesson preparation, time management and didactic skills. Really a focus on how do I present and adjust my lesson.
