I fell in love with kite surfing thanks to my instructor Jailson and thanks to all the wonderful people working at the school. They have very positive, very encouraging and professional approach which I loved. It was so much joy to be there and learn! Top from the top for me!

Hi everybody Just a quick note to say how good the kite surf vibe, cafe and instruction was at Mito and djo on kite beach Cape Verde. I am just learning to kite surf so quite a task for my instructor Jailson who was infinitely patient and enthusiastic and also persuasive as he even managed to persuade my wife to take a kite and get into the ocean! Great times, thank you!

I had an awesome intro to kitesurfing at the Mitu & Djo Kiteschool on Sal, Cape Verde, with Jailson Alfa (Jaijai) as my main instructor. I did 8 hours of semi-private lessons (with 2 students), 2 hours of private lessons. It was such a fun experience! Jaijai was super patient and great at explaining everything, so I felt safe and made good progress. The whole vibe at the school was amazing—everyone was so friendly and always joking around. In the afternoons, we’d play beach volleyball with some of the instructors, including Jaijai, which was such a nice way to wind down. The kitesurfing conditions were quite good. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d totally recommend Mitu & Djo Kiteschool and Jaijai to anyone wanting to try kitesurfing.

Les cours étaient top, l'équipe super sympa et accueillante. Très bien organisé, l'équipement très bien aussi. Je me suis sentie en confiance et ai apprécié chaque minute des cours. Un grand merci à Jailson, mon instructeur, qui était très bon dans les explications, très impliqué dans les conseils et avec toujours une touche d'humour.

I was really lucky to have Jailson as my instructor during my visit to Sal, CV. He always has such high energy, telling jokes and making the experience fun. I came to lessons with some knowledge of the sport, but before helping me advance my skills, he wanted to make sure I had a strong foundation and kite control—which really helped me the rest of the week. There were times I would get frustrated with myself, scared, and make mistakes over and over, but he remained patient and encouraging. Because of this, everyday I woke up eager to get back in the water and keep learning! His knowledge of the sport and watching him surf with such ease and finesse is inspiring. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the island and hope to surf with him again in the future.

In November 2024, I attended a course at Mitu&Djo school on the island of Sal, Cabo Verde. Everything was as I hoped. Everyone at the school was super friendly, and everything we arranged went smoothly. A car picked me up from my hotel before the lesson and took me back afterward. The instructor helped me with everything, taught me from the basics, and within a few hours, I was able to get going. An unforgettable week. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend the school to everyone.

All the staff at Mitu and Djo Kite School were helpful, welcoming and very professional. I did all the hours of the course with the instructor Jailson Alfa. He was very prepared and well trained. He's been able to make me feel comfortable and to understand how to motivate me. He was ready to face any situation. He's been accurate and very professional all the time. I really enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks again to Mitu and Djo kite school and to all the crew.

Very constructive lessons with safety constantly at first priority. First the set up kite, control bar and lines,, harness and helmet. Kite flight control on shore/sand, start up, stop, down , 1-2 / 12 / 10-11 o’clock, approved to be ready for in the sea/water experience. Prepared for sea experience, full equipped with wetsuit, buoyancy, harness, and helmet First with instructor hooked on te back of my harness. 2nd independent, instructor on the beach, with sign language, Whistle signal, time outs for review small assignments Body dragging with kite flight control,1-2/ 10-11 o’clock pattern in the sea, upwind (kite beach SAL Cabo Verde). Body dragging with kite flight control, calm 8-pattern motion. Body dragging above patterns with kiteboard.
