Barb is absolutely the best kite instructor out there. I have my Master's Degree in Education and I am a teacher, and I really appreciate the ways in which Barb embodies a teacher in her instructional approach - really trying to get into the minds of her students and think about their learning style to be able to best connect to them and help them get up on the kite. I highly recommend Barb!

I highly recommend Barb Heinz. She is a great instructor for many reasons. She has a step by step approach so that you feel you are advancing in some way during each lesson. She believes in hands on learning so from the start she had me learn how to pump up the kite, then how to put out the lines, and the technique to untangle them, and then how to attach them to the kite. I can walk the kite up and down the beach, and most importantly I understand how to raise the kite back up if it lands in the water. Secondly, I know what direction I must body drag if I lose my board. I have had other instructors that were much less observant and didn't have much to say beyond "try again". I was very dependent on them to do everything for me. Barb's goal is to make you more independent. She is concerned with your safety, so she takes the time you need on the beach to make sure you are comfortable with moving the kite and understanding hand positions and what gives you more power or less power. What I like most about Barb's teaching style is that she actually examines what you are doing out there in the water. She pays attention to detail. When you come back to shore she is always positive and pointing out even the littlest improvement you have accomplished, before explaining what went wrong. Then she demonstrates what you did wrong so you can see what she is seeing. After that she will show you the correct way, giving you one or two adjustments to focus on. She doesn't overwhelm you with too much to think about at once. One last thing to mention: she is equipped with everything you need. She has several kites for different winds, she provides a helmet, a flotation vest and a harness. She takes the time to adjust the equipment so that you feel comfortable.

I had an amazing time learning with Barbara. From the first theoric and kite control sessions I felt comfortable, safe and motivated. Although sometimes I struggled with my waterstart, Barbara was always patient, showing me what I was doing well and not well. This was great to understand my mistakes and get it right in a few runs. She is a fun step-by-step instructor that makes you feel very safe. The progression came before I knew it. If you have the chance to experience this amazing sport with Barbara, there is no turning back. You will become an all year long rider!

Barbara is more than a brand new kite surfer can ask for. She is so attentive, knowledgeable and most importantly so patient. If it wasn’t for her i probably would have quit after the first day of my own frustration. She is your biggest cheerleader and goes above and beyond to make sure you are progressing. Kitesurfing can be scary but i always felt super safe in Barb’s hands. I am forever grateful that she was my teacher! If you can book her and learn with her, you will not regret it! she is simply the best

Wasn't so fond of water sports in the beginning, but with this course it changed drastically. I heartly recommend do your course with Barb, an very empathic and super fun, skilled Austrian instructor to pimp your kite skills. Great training, great spot and lots of fun. Wouldn‘t wanna miss that experience!! Awesome course!

I am forever grateful that I had the honor of having Barb be my instructor as I learned this amazing sport of kiting! We spent MANY hours together as it took me while to learn and become an independent rider. Barb was by my side throughout the entire process. The ups and downs, tears and laughter. Learning this sport is so mental and emotional (of course besides the physical) and there is no one I would have rather gone though the process with then Barb! Her patience, encouragement, and laid back temperament, helped me to succeed. She never gave up on me, and I felt 100% supported under her guidance in every moment both on and off the water. I can truly say I wouldn't be a kiter today if it weren't for Barb! Anyone that is able to learn under her instruction will not be disappointed!

Barbara is TRULY is more than I could have ever hoped from a Kite Surf Instructor. If I could work with Barb for the rest of my life, I WOULD! She is so much more than an instructor; she is a listener, a cheerleader, a truth-sayer, and most of all treats supporting her students to learn, persist, and love kiting not as a job, but as her personal mission. Her instruction comes from a deep place of care, which for anyone who is new to the sport knows, is just about the most important thing. I couldn't be more grateful to Barb for her dedication and support! It took me awhile to get to this point, and I had many doubts if I would, but she always believed in me and encouraged me. Learning to kite was not an easy process for me, and I would have given up a long time ago if it weren't for Barb, but I didn't! I can now say I love kiting and am having so much fun while continuing to learn tons!

Barb is an amazingly patient teacher. She has spent so much time with me going over the basics, kite preparation, safety, and getting me comfortable. It has taken me a long time to master each step in the process and she has been encouraging, patient, and creative in her ways to support me to get to the next step.
