Joao, Jan and Charlotte have all been exceptional at teaching and supporting me in all these weeks of hard work to reach a level where I feel now perfectly confident to weather any wind condition and perform any safety and rescue action. Having not done much board sports before, the tailored teaching from João really helped me ramp up fast. Was incredibly happy to have been on the board going both left and right after 9 hours of lessons!

The encouraging intructors, who use a walkie-talkie to communicate with you even at a distance and the perfect conditions at the Lagoon made me take a huge step forward in my kiting skills. I had a great time there and recommend it to everyone!

Highly recommended. An absolute top school with really very good teachers, good equipment and a great organization. Kudos to the team of teachers who do a great job even with really challenging students. If you want to learn something and have fun at the same time, this is the place to be.

Very competent instructor, always attentive and dedicated. João transmitted the modules in an extremely effective and clear way, and above all he showed great adaptability and flexibility when adjusting the training method and different exercises to different students and progression levels. --- Instructor muito competence, sempre atento e dedicado. Had an individual 12 hour introduction to kitesurfing, mostly with Joao, and went from a total beginner to being able to ride on the board for short stretches (though think I'll need more lessons before attempting anything by myself.) Teaching was excellent - ambitious enough to make you learn the basics quickly, but without compromising on either safety or enjoyment. Conditions were pretty good - winds were quite light for most of the week, but there's a wide enough range of kit that they can give you a kite that's suitable. A tip: if you have your own wetsuit boots, I'd advise bringing them with you. The shoes provided at the centre don't cover your ankles, and I ended up with a rash on both my ankles (think from an allergic reaction to the seaweed?) That aside, the lagoon was the perfect place to learn - no waves, not many other people, and a scenic 25min walk from Bom Sucesso. Outside of the course itself, things were understandably quiet because of Covid, but all staff were very friendly and made an effort to encourage people to hang out outside of lessons. Imagine that once the planned guesthouse with bar etc is built, then the social side of the holiday will be just as good as the teaching.

J'ai apprécié être formé par cette école. Joao est un très bon pédagogue, patient et surtout à l'écoute de son élève. Il m'a permis de progresser très rapidement et m'a partagé sa passion.

Great course Great instructor - explain the all important requirements for safe kitesurfing. Place - Lagoa de óbidos is safe lagun where you can learn without any stres that you will hit other kiters. Not crowdy. I recommend to all WHO would Like to start with this sport.
