Ruben Beljon

Ruben was very patience and informative in his teaching even going beyond what to do to why it should be done. The school is in a great location on Bonaire and had plenty of area away from the more experienced kiters to learn in a non intimidating manner

After 6 hours (3 days) hours at Kiteexperience in Sant pere Pescador (Costa Brava), in salt water in 2018, I followed the course at Hindeloopen in fresh water. My teacher was Ruben Beljon. The first day was a refreshment, but I also learned some new things. In 3 days I learned a lot about safety for the environment and for myself. Even simple things tips and tricks like how hard the tubes should be filled with air. How to easy drag the board through the water, how to land or rise the kite without hurting the helper, what to check when buying a second hand kite etc etc. Very useful tips. After 3 day I am able to do the waterstart and ride the first meters. I know how to depower the kite, and feel the difference. I learned from my mistakes, and now it's time to start making flying hours. Thanks Ruben

Afgelopen zondag op 23 augustus heb wij de kitesurf training gevolgd bij Antix Kiteboarding. Vanwege het fantastische weer was het wel erg druk, maar de instructeurs namen alle tijd voor de veiligheid en zochten een rustige(r) plek op. De oefeningen werden duidelijk omschreven en er was een uitstekende ondersteuning van de instructeurs Ruben en Gert Jan. Geweldig materiaal en veiligheid stond voorop. Na de lunch werden er nl ook kleinere kites gepakt vanwege de toegenomen wind. Vond het jammer dat de les niet 1 uur langer duurde voor net even die laatste stap, maar hebben meer dan genoten. Kortom, een geweldige dag en uitstekend verzorgd en prima ondersteuning van de instructeurs.

Started as a beginner in the morning learning to use the kite, bodydrag, etc. In the afternoon I had lessons from Ruben. Ruben teached me to water start and at the end of the day I made my first meters on the board and had a great day! Thanks!
