Dominik Vlk

Everything is exactly as you would expect. All of the instructors are very friendly, and intuitive. Safety is very clearly a priority for everyone at Wijkiki but they never let this get in the way of real progression or enjoyment. They've truly helped drive a passion for the sport! 10/10 would recommend!

Dominik was a great instructor, and very patient with someone (me) who could grasp the concepts and practice of kitesurfing like a colander can hold water. I highly recommend Dominik to anyone who is interested in learning how to kitesurf with a high-energy, patient, and thorough teacher.

I was pleasantly surprised by extra steps taken in order for school to accommodate us as we were only in town for 5 days with limited wind opportunities. The beach isn't overwhelmed by too many kiters or pedestrians making it ideal for you to learn all the skills to be a successful kiter. The instructor were accomodating and new exactly what was need to progress within a couple lesson I was already able to ride up wind. Great Kiteschool!

Dominik is a really good instructor. Everything was perfectly explained and it can be seen that Dominik has a lot of experience, because he sees all the mistakes and corrects them immediately. I have nothing to complain about.

All members of Kite power team are real prefessionals with specific and patient approach to each student, understanding what they need and really teaches everyone to kite. (which I didn't believe at first, specially in my case). I love them and am grateful for that.

I was really enjoying the lessons with Dominik. He gave me clear and short informations, so it was easier for me to understand, what I should do or what I am doing wrong. Also he is really patient and if I couldnt manage to improve something, he tried to explain it in a diffrent way. And to not forget… He is really kind and funny person, but at the same time he really wants to learn u something.

I really enjoyed this course. Instructor Dominik Vlk is a professional, he taught me even though I'm not very handy. I would like to thank Dominik very much once again for his patience. I hope to have some kitesurfing lesson with him again in the next time. Thanks

Der 1. Theoriekurs zu Beginn war top! (Dominic) Die ersten Stunden im Wasser waren super aufgebaut, Anweisungen waren klar verständlich und der Trainer ging individuell auf jede/n Schüler/in ein. Leider mussten wir auf Erklärvideos auf YouTube zu den diversen Techniken (Aufstehen/ Wende/..) zurückgreifen, da diese nicht Step-by-Step erklärt wurden. Zudem fehlten teilweise individuelle Fehleranalysen und Hilfestellungen. Es gab keine Videoanalyse (im Angebot eigentlich enthalten). Theorie: Auf- und Abbau des Kites bzw. Starten und Landen des Kites wurden sehr theoretisch erklärt. Hier fehlte die Praxisübung und der Platz zur sicheren Ausführung. Trainerwechsel von Englisch (Dominik) auf Deutsch (Karlo) führte zu Verständigungsproblemen. Durch die fehlende Abstimmung bezüglich Fachbegriffe (Uhrzeiten statt linke/rechts) und Techniken, kam es häufig zu Missverständnissen. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und haben sehr viel gelernt. Die Trainer waren nett und immer sehr bemüht.

The wind was sometimes not the strongest but Water Donkey rolled with it as best they could and we were really flexible with us. They’re quick to get out on the water and trying the boards so it felt like we were getting the most out of our lessons.

Kind instructors, good in depth explanations and helping out with buying my first set of gear. They really helped me kickstart my kiteboarding experience this summer. Hooked!!
