Our school was formed with the local Instructor/ rider in mind. We saw a need for better pay and treatment of the instructors, assistants, helpers, independent riders and clients. The school was founded with the help of the local kids that only dreamed of kitesurfing, now we have 11 IKO professionals, all from Buen Hombre, our dream is becoming a reality, much more to come. We are located on Playa Buen Hombre a small fishing town in Dominican Republic, about to be discovered and about to blow up with kiters. Winds are mostly year-round and stable. Water conditions are optimal do to its large area of calm shallow waters. We collaborate with local hotels in the area which is great for the overall experience of the Client or rider. Charly is a kiting guru full of knowledge. So passionate - we even started the course early! We had a difficult wind conditions (lack of) but he still found a way to use the time productively. My riding improved a lot under his feedback. Super happy to have done the course.

ATC training was an excellent experience. I got to learn about becoming an assistant, and also felt like I was going through training for the first time. My skills have improved. and I was able to clear some bad habits I've developed. I'm very grateful for this experience!

Bruno is an excellent kite instructor! He analyzes movements very precisely and gives targeted feedback that helps improve technique right away. You can really feel the progress with each session. It's a lot of fun working with him and refining skills together. Highly recommended!

I loved learning to progress at kiting at Friendly kite buen hombre. Safety is their top priority which allowed me to feel confident learning new skills. I would recommend learning to kite here for beginners and those wanting to progress. Their equipment is top tier, the kite instructors are excellent communicators and the location is perfect!

I really enjoyed the Friendly Kite School in Buen Hombre! I went in with no kiting experience and they taught me what I needed to know to get a great foundation for kiting. I have to say I am hooked and can’t wait to go back! I would emphasize the “friendly” part part because they really make an effort to ensure they live up to it.

I cannot say enough about Friendly Kite School in Buen Hombre, DR! Amazing experience and perfect area to learn to kite. Shallow water access made it so easy to recover my kite and be able to have one-on-one instruction without having to worry about drifting too far downwind. All the staff were extremely friendly. No easier access to kite launch and post-session snacks! I look forward to returning.

Bruno is a wonderful and very passionate teacher! He is very patient and I felt safe and confident at all times. On top of that he speaks perfect English which is very appreciable as it's not very usual in Northeast Brazil. The school's infrastructures and equipment are great and on the spot.

Bruno, my teacher, is a great professional and very patient. He was not only teaching me but transmitting his passion and in the safest way. Big plus he is speaking perfect English which is quite difficult to find here in northeast Brazil. I would recommend him to anyone. The school itself has great facilities and brand new gears, all you can wish for a safe practice of this sport ! Thanks a lot for everything!
