Holbox è una piccola isola di sabbia al largo della costa nord della penisola dello Yucatan. Kite beach ci offre acqua piatta nella laguna e un chop molto leggero all'esterno. Punta Mosquito è una spiaggia vergine lunga 30 km che condividerete solo con altri kiters e tartarughe. HKS conosce Holbox e i suoi Kite spots come nessun altro. Insegniamo a Holbox dal 2005. Abbiamo scelto questo spot per la nostra scuola per le sue condizioni di apprendimento epiche. Acqua piatta e bassa, assenza di onde e spazio per imparare. I nostri spot non sono affollati. Siamo specializzati in lezioni private, la nostra priorità è che vi godiate la vostra progressione in un ambiente sicuro al vostro ritmo, sia esso veloce o lento. Abbiamo il nostro taxi d'acqua e le nostre barche di salvataggio/insegnamento per assicurarci di portarvi nelle migliori condizioni del giorno.

Jonny Smith and the rest of the Holbox Kite School staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and safety conscious. The communication was excellent. The shop is clean and inviting. Gear by Slingshot and Ride Engine are top notch and what I would consider buying for my own equipment. The spot for learning is beautiful, shallow, flat water with a sandy bottom. I was able to progress in a short time after a long hiatus from kitesurfing. Would definitely recommend and I plan to be back.

Communication with the kite school was very easy, and they helped me with all my questions about kitesurfing. Since I had never kitesurfed before and felt quite nervous about it, it was a relief to meet Nuria. She made me feel at ease and took the time to explain everything multiple times whenever needed. Learning to kite with Johnny was an incredible experience. After several attempts elsewhere, I finally achieved my goal of becoming an independent kiter thanks to his patient, structured, and encouraging teaching style. Johnny has a rare ability to combine technical expertise with clear, step-by-step instruction. He always made sure I understood the “why” behind every move, from safety procedures and equipment setup to body dragging, water starts, and riding upwind. His calm presence on the water built my confidence and helped me progress faster than I ever expected. Holbox was the perfect spot to learn — shallow water, steady wind, and a relaxed vibe — but it was really Johnny who made the difference. He’s passionate about kiting, genuinely cares about his students, and knows exactly how to adapt his approach to each learner. I’m now confidently riding on my own, fully independent, and can’t thank him enough. I highly recommend Johnny to anyone serious about learning kitesurfing the right way!

Anna is hands down the best kite instructor I've ever had. She’s incredibly skilled and experienced—she can spot your mistakes from a distance and provides clear, detailed guidance on how to correct them. After just a few lessons with her, I saw significant improvement in my skills and felt confident in my ability to manage risks on my own, thanks to her thorough instruction. Everyone at Holbox Kite were amazing from initial booking through final sign off. I have had other lessons in the past but none gave me the confidence to feel safe enough to fly on my own. Johnny is a great team leader and Pochi is an amazing instructor.

Kitesurf with Anna was an incredible experience! Despite my initial fears, her expert guidance and enthusiasm made me feel more confident and definitely eager to learn. Three intense days filled with fun transformed my first kitesurfing experience into a marvelous memory. Now, I'm hooked and can't wait to continue this exciting journey!
