Alan did a great job with the ATC course, and was able to really share with me his extensive experience with the kite and teaching. This course really built up a lot of my knowledge of the theory behind kiting and was great to give me a deeper insight into how people learn. Alan was always happy to answer my questions and provided an excellent discovery based course.

Very good course, super in depth - more than i thought necessary but i also love all of the topics covered so i was quite happy that it was so in depth ive learnt alot in a short amount of time - and about stuff that i thought i already knew so much about!

Lessons on Monterey Beach and Botany Bay. Extremely thorough and safety oriented - great instructors! Equipment was top quality. In the water, the harness worked it's way up and based on this experience, I later decided to purchase a board short / seat harness which is more comfortable for me. The instructors have been really good not just when giving personal lessons, but also watching out for safety on the beach, assisting with the purchase of appropriate beginner gear, occasional advice, and keeping a fun and friendly atmosphere on the beach.

Great 3-day kite retreat. Very good teaching, even though conditions were rough, with lots of waves. Very calm and understanding teacher, giving an incentive to find the answer to your question yourself ! Not many kite instructors do that !! But you learn and understand better that way, so thumbs up ! He even gave me the envy to learn the theory behind kiting !

It was amazing to make so much progress in a 2hr session. I had done two days of kiteboarding 10 years ago but forgotten everything - Alan got me up to speed quickly and got me in the water. Live feedback and instruction via the radio helmet was a real breakthrough that enabled me to get up and going in a very short space of time. I also really appreciated his attention to safety processes and his genuine desire to ensure that if I went out by myself in future that I would have the right skills to keep myself safe.

I was surprised when my sons gave me beginner Kiteboarding lessons for my 60th birthday. With trepidation, I booked my first lesson with Alan at KBL. The first lesson left me feeling this was a sport I wanted to learn. I’m still learning to fly the kite on the beach, have done some body dragging and one boat lesson on the path to riding the board. I’m taking it slowly, and look forward to becoming competent with the kite and kite.

Awesome team of instructors, loads of support around the lessons too, plus they guided and streamlined my first kite purchase. These guys do a fantastic job and are excellent instructors - from an ex professional athlete and national champion, that’s a fair review!

No doubt that these guys know really well about kiteboard, they are very patience from the beginning and explain everything related to the kiteboard dangers and risk and how to prevent it. They have and they provide with all equipment, which is perfect, cause you only focus on learning. About the beach, it's perfect to learn you have always good weather condition.

Couldn’t be happier with the lesson. Instructor, equipment, location were all spot on. Got my confidence back up in one session after a break from the sport. Helped that the wind was up too that day :)

We spent two weeks at Costa Brava and finished two courses at ION, Roses - Sant pere Pescador. It was a fantastic experience, club is managed very well and we were totally satisfied with our teacher. We carry on!
