Niels van de Sande

Niels was a terrific instructor; he coaches people on their actual skill level and not on how many hours they have been kitesurfing. Besides that, even outside of the lessons he went out of his way to give additional tips, help me out on the water or even review some second hand kite gear!

Niels was a very good instructor. He explained everything calmly and clearly. The only disadvantage of the lessons was that we had 2 groups of 2 people with each group having its own kite. Because of this Niels had to divide his attention between the 2 groups which made it that it could take a long time before you got feedback about your actions. Although I think this was not Niels' choice to do it this way, but Ripstar's choice. All in all I had a couple of very nice kite lessons and my expectations were met in those lessons. Definitely recommended!

I enjoyed every second of my kite-lesson with Niels. I learned a lot and Niels’ knowledge about kitesurfing is huge and his own skills are just amazing. He is a great teacher and I highly recommend him to everyone motivated to learn kitesurfing. With Niels you will have fun, learn everything and feel very safe during your lessons.

Niels is an awesome guy who knows how to teach you the basic skills in a pleasant way. He is able to enthuse you for kiting. The only area for improvement was the unfortunate circumstance where one of us got caught up in the kite and was pulled along. Niels could have reacted a bit more proactively on this matter. Nonetheless, def. recommend.

I had two super days of kitesurfing lessons. Niels is a very good and friendly instructor who teached me a lot to get better at kitesurfing. Thank you for your time and I’ll see you the next time I visit the Netherlands.

Niels is een flexibele leraar die ondanks ons drukke schema tijd heeft kunnen vrijmaken om ons les te geven. De kite spullen waren compleet en in goede staat. De lessen die we ontvangen hebben waren ook persoonlijk op ons afgestemd. Een groot voordeel was dat er geen tijdsdruk bij Niels op zat, we gingen door totdat we klaar voor de dag waren. Wij hebben hierdoor relatief snel het kiten onder controle kunnen krijgen. Niels, bedankt voor de lessen, ik zal je zeker aanraden!

I had experience in sport close to this kitesurfing. Then had one lesson with low wind prior to this course of 2 sessions. It was really nice Niels (instructor) was focused on me and gave me the advice I needed to advance quickly. After covering the basics and seeing my handling of the kite and the body dragging I learned prior to our lessons. I was kitesurfing in no time. He extended the first session because I was on a roll. The second lesson was a lot of fine tuning and small tips and tricks. Ready to make a lot of miles next season, still a lot to learn, but the basics are there!

Niels is een fijne kite instructeur! Hij legt rustig uit, laat je alles zelf even proberen, geeft duidelijke tips, maar geeft ook veel ruimte om gewoon lekker zelf te oefenen :)
