Thiemen Herklots

Thieme is a really good instructor. You can see that he has a lot of experience. With really good metaphors and understandable explanations, and by showing, he teaches you all the basics which you need for kite control.

I'm extremely positive about the course given by Thiemen. You could tell he is very experienced in teaching how to kite. He really makes you understand how a kite works and what happens when you perform certain actions with it. Moreover he is good transferring his knowledge by explaining everything in a very clear, comprehensive yet fun way using metaphors. Throughout the course I felt save under his guidance while he keeps pushing you to do better and improve your skills, also involving trying new things. you haven't done before.

Thuis was my first kite lesson ever. And I couldn’t enjoy it more. The kite instructor , in my case tiemen, takes all the time you need to teach you new stuff. Also safe conditions and they adjust to your level. You Ian learn things in your own spear. Therefor I recommend to get your lesson at this kite school. If it’s you first time or not, it doesn’t matter.

Better than I imagined. Signed up for 4 3 hour lessons during my vacation on Bonaire and it could not have gone any better. Starting with an uber pleasant experience booking my sessions with Mariska then followed with an amazing learning experience with Tilghman at a beautiful location with a cool vibe! By the second lesson I was water starting and by the third lesson I was riding consistently and by the last and 4th lesson I was carving upwind. It was awesome! I owe my kiteboarding success to my incredible instructor Tilghman. This guy was kind and patient as one can be, positive, humorous, encouraging and extremely insightful when it came to giving instructions. In short - he’s a Jedi kite instructor and there’s no other way to describe him. So- if you’re looking for a location to learn to kitesurf - it’s Bonaire. If you’re looking for an amazing experience - call kiteboarding Bonaire - and if you’re looking for an instructor that has Jedi qualities ask for Tilghman - I can assure you that you will not find a better instructor anywhere!

Really great experience with this kiteschool and especially Thiemen. He was flexible, patient and most important very good at instructing! Big thanks! for getting me do some first water starts and few meters of surfing!!

Kiteboarding Bonaire is an excellent Kite school. Me and my boyfriend were able to refresh our kite skills in a safe and super nice environment. Tim is an excellent instructor and I'm very happy with his teaching. 100% recommended. :)
