Ryan Augusta

We had a great experience with Ryan Augusta who gave us rising tips and worked with us in land first to help us dial in our stances and body positioning including learning back on the harness. We.did some dry land exercises flying the kite with the board on our feet in a stationary position. In the water he gave me.some.ptactice body dragging fist but my daughter went straight to the board. Ryan was patient and helped my daughter better control her speed. In the 3 hours we were both able to go up and downwind. The outfit has good kites slingshot SSTs and new harnesses and boards although I didn't care for the soft leg looped harness since we are used to hard shell Ride Engines. All.in all it was a great lesson thanks to Ryan and we didn't end up in Klrine Bonaire.

I had two more than great kitesurfing lessons with Ryan. He is a real hands-on instructor, very clear in his instructions and he works hard to get YOU become a better kitesurfer. If you are serious about improving your kite skills, I can truly recommend you to take lessons with Ryan at Kiteboarding Bonaire.

Ik heb in totaal 4 lessen gehad en elke les kreeg ik een andere instructeur waardoor ik veel mensen van IKO heb leren kennen. Iedereen is super aardig en relaxed. De lessen waren ook goed te volgen en ik heb veel geleerd. Ik had het erg naar mijn zin!

Kiteboarding Bonaire is an excellent school for kitesurfing. My teacher was Ryan, who is calm, relaxed, focussed on safety and teaching very well! He sees the mistakes you make and points it out clearly and in a pleasant way. The best!!

Ryan was a good instructor for me. He explains everything well and calmly, in 3x3 hours he taught me to kite board independently. After the lessons I started kite independently, here too he and the school provides good service when renting gear and helping to build the kite. The location on the beach is perfect, the large bus shields the wind, there are lounge chairs and sofas everywhere. I will recommend everyone to take kite lessons here on Bonaire at the blue bus even though there is no difference with the other kite schools here on the island, they all work together to create a fun kite experience for everyone.

My first kite lessons and they were awesome. The location was perfect, the school was nice and the teacher was awesome. If you want to learn kitesurf and you’re on Bonaire, Go for it!! See you on the water ;-)

School was fantastic, really easy to work with and helped adjust my schedule as needed. Everybody was warm, engaging and made me feel accepted, even though i was obviously a novice and not "yet" the cool girl mastering the kite and making crazy jumps. Ryan was one of the sweetest and most competent instructors of sports I ever had. By the third session I was out and riding (at least a bit:-)). Ryan gave me the necessary confidence that helped me learn and his instructions and words of encouragement remain in my head way past the time of the lesson itself. I am so thankful.

During my visit in bonair I already knew how to kite, but it was a long time ago I last practiced it. So I wantend an refreshment lesson, this went very well and he even tought my how to do a transit. Happy to have taken this lesson

I already had some experience with kiteboarding before coming to Kiteboarding Bonaire for some extra classes. Ryan explained everything really clearly step by step instead of sending you information in one big flow. He really helped me getting better on my technique!

A few months after my first kite lessons I had the opportunity to visit Bonaire again and have additional lessons. Like last time this was again a great experience. This time my instructor was Ryan, who helped me in one lesson to make good progress and getting to the next level of kite surfing. His tips and tricks helped me to further develop my skills. Unfortunately the other planned lessons got cancelled due to lack of wind - it is good to know that the kite school really looked at wind required for my level of kite surfing and decided it was better to skip the session. I am already looking forward to the next lessons in Feb 2020.
