Outstanding instructor. Linus made the lesson interesting and fun. And made sure all the concepts were understood. I will continue to move forward with the sport due to how well this lesson was taught, and the great attitude from Linus the instructor.

Linus was very informative and gave clear advice by breaking each part down to basics. Use of the 2 way radio is vital for kite surfing instruction at this level which he used to good effect. The school was cool and well run with an air hose to pump the kites up which was also a great benefit.

The Flisvos kite center did their best to make my experience good. Safety was very good and the personnel was polite and professional. However, I am a beginner and this location felt challenging for me. First, the space is rather small and it gets quite crowded with both students and experienced kite surfers. Second, the wind is usually gusty. In favour of safety, the student kites are with trimmed lines, way shorter than the standard. All these factors, added on top of the many new things one needs to learn, make it quite hard for an inexperienced person to progress quickly. Linus, my instructor, was very good, supportive and patient. He observed me and gave me instructions and tips specifically for me to get and keep me going.

Linus and Stan are awesome. They got me up riding on a board in two days. Great instruction and great attitudes. The entire staff is helpful, knowledgeable, safe, and passionate about the sport. Thanks for checking off a bucket list item!

Linus was an AMAZING instructor. He was very systematic, organized and thorough. Additionally, he came up with specific tips that helped me overcome different challenges. The beach seemed perfect for beginners with not many hazards and smaller waves. I would highly recommend it!

While on vacation in St Lucia the resort offered kitesurfing... I have taken a resort course for Wind surfing previously and loved the idea of the lighter gear and freedom of kite surfing so I started the classes... My instructor was great in every way... I quickly moved through all the kite skills and flying became easy... The body drag and flying was easy... I picked it all up rather quickly... Than came the water starts... Not really being a board sport guy as well as being on the older side of life and a bit more over weight than I want to be. Getting the damn feet into the board was more of a challenge for me... Once I was set and got the right angles I could get up and the frustration started to fade a bit (everything to this point was fun and easy) after 3 sessions of instruction I started to realize... I live in Arizona... No oceans... And no kite schools to continue learning... Than i realized it's not safe for me to purchase different size kites for wind conditions and a board to try and surf the lakes in my area... I realized I was fighting a loosing battle with the freedom to actually kite surf where I live... So i completely enjoyed my time learning and will pick up some instruction when available but it's not something I can do all the time

The kiteboarding instruction at Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia is the absolute BEST in the Caribbean. I've had a chance to kite on many Caribbean islands and there just isn't a better spot than this! Always the perfect side/onshore breeze that is on all day long in the windy season. Top notch instructors Linus & Stan will take you from zero to hero in just a few lessons. And then you have a spacious playground to kiteboard, kitesurf, or foil without traffic jams on the water or beach. Saint Lucia is the best kept secret among kiters!

Linus and the guys at the surf shack are amazing, not only is he super knowledgeable, but he makes learning tips and tricks and new skills a lot of fun. He is constantly providing feedback if you want it, even outside of any classes. Learning kitesurfing with Linus made myself and my family become part of a family together, and we keep returning to his kite shack because we love him and kitesurfing so much!!

Had four days to train and get my IKO certification with Linus at the Surf Shack of the Coconut Bay Beach Resort in St. Lucia. The staff there was wonderful (Luis, Linus & Stan) and passionate of the sport. Although we had light wind conditions the first three days, we were able to practice all basic learnings safely with a 14m. The last day we started with a 12m and had to change to a 10m as the wind picked up and I was able to demonstrate all the require exercises for the IKO certification. Thanks L for coaching me to ride the kite board and taking me from white leash to yellow leash! ;-) I'll be working my way to black! ;-) It was a blast of fun training with you! Mathieu

If you dreamed up the perfect spot to learn kite surfing, it would be at Coconut Bay resort. . .the accomodations, the geography, everything is perfect. . Add in Luis, Linus & Stan who are the best instructors, and you'll have one of the best experiences in your life!
