Un lugar con viento de Tramuntana procedente de los Pirineos y brisas marinas constantes en los meses de verano. La larga y arenosa bahía de Roses, en la costa mediterránea, a sólo 30 km al sur de la frontera francesa, ha sido uno de los lugares favoritos para la práctica del Kitesurf. El centro ION CLUB Golf de Roses, en el extremo sur de la bahía, está situado entre Sant Pere Pescador y L' Escala. El centro ION CLUB está situado en el camping y parque de bungalows de 4 estrellas La Ballena Alegre Costa Brava. La Ballena Alegre- ION CLUB Kitesurfing Zone lleva funcionando desde 2005, y no sólo es sólo la primera zona oficial de kitesurf en Cataluña, sino que también es la más segura de la zona. La zona de Kitesurf consta de dos áreas, una para las clases del ION CLUB y otra para los kitesurfistas (en temporada alta de junio a septiembre). No se aplican restricciones antes o después de las fechas mencionadas, excepto las de nuestra Zona de Enseñanza. Ofrecemos clases diarias de kitesurf en nuestra zona de enseñanza oficial del ION CLUB desde el inicio de la temporada en marzo y hasta octubre. Esta zona está situada en la amplia playa de arena frente al centro.

Je suis content des cours, je progresse bien. J'ai essayé avec le bateaux, c'est très bien, cela permet de tirer des bords plus longtemps, par contre j'aurais préféré être seul avec le bateaux car ayant perdu ma planche plusieurs fois, j'ai du attendre que le bateau gère l'autre élève avant de revenir vers moi. Ce qui était un peu frustrant. Cela reste une très bonne expérience que je renouvellerai sans problème.

Steve manage all the course really well, I learned a lot and for sure it went above my expectations. I had an awesome time at ION. My instructor Ben made an extremely good job. In detail, he made me feel safe the whole time and explained everything in an excellent way. He scaffolded my learning process and motivated me in stressful situations (e.g. gusty wind conditions or mental overload in the beginning). All parts of the course where well structured and easy to understand. I can definitely recommend his kite lessons.

I used to kitesurf. Then came kids around. :) Now travelling to Las Dunas near Girona Spain, the kids was playing at the beach, the wind was picking up and the shop right there at the beach. Dennis was very helpful! In 20 min I was geared up, beach checked out and gear ready. I got a very nice hour of kitesurfing ! Something I have dreamt of for years. It seems its now possible again on this vacation. Thanks !
