The owner and operator of SouthFlorida Kiteboarding runs a fantastic operation. Excellent communication in booking appointments and service and care and equipment is top notch. I have used their outfit for over 3 years and every time had great results. Very fair to refund payment on no wind days. They provide all the equipment and quickly change out as needed

I had a great time getting instruction out at Stiltsville by James once the wind cooperated during my trip. Additionally, in lighter winds they were accomodating with getting my out for wing foiling and e-foiling! Thanks for making my trip awesome even when the weather didn't totally cooperate.

It was a great experience working with James. He gave me valuable advises and insight to take my skills to the next level and corrected me immediately when needed. I had so much pleasure and was surprised by the fast progress I made.

South Florida Kiteboarding is the best school you can go to in the Miami area. I always wanted to do Kitesurfing and here in Miami I found the best place to go to. The school under Melissa Management is amazing. They are taking great care of you. You start even before your lesson even begins. She will send you a series of videos to learn the basics so you will be able to maximize your water time. At the beginning of the class, you start with a short boat trip to the sandbar close to Stiltsville and there you will start your class. you will start with safety first you get an impact vest a pair of shoes a wetsuit and a helmet with a built-in radio, and then the basics like how to set up the kite and how to control it. And then once you have enough practice you get a board that you can practice your water start and start your surfing experience. To conclude I highly recommend South Florida Kiteboarding to everyone who wants to learn Kitesurfing I had an amazing time.

South Florida Kiteboarding is an amazing place to start your kiteboarding journey. Melissa and her team provide world class instruction to get you up and riding as quickly and safely as possible. They have an amazing spot on a sandbar which provides additional safety while allowing you to advance much faster than on a beach. I highly recommend learning with them!

I have nothing but great things to say about South Florida Kiteboarding and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. The entire team was incredibly friendly/welcoming and the instructor I had for my 4 lessons, James, was absolutely great. The instruction I received was world class and I don’t think I would have progressed as quickly as I did anywhere else. Perhaps most important with a sport like this, I felt safe the entire time I was learning. They provided impact/bouyancy vests, helmets with radios, quality equipment with all the safety features, and thorough instruction on how to be a safe kiteboarder. The radio helmet, in my opinion, made learning so much easier. The location they take you to (by boat) is a beautiful sand bar in Biscayne Bay with shallow / flat water all around (and nothing to crash into!). I can’t imagine better conditions to learn in. All in all, I can’t recommend South Florida Kiteboarding highly enough! They made learning to kiteboard as easy as possible and I had so much fun the entire time.

I have taken many lessons now with South Florida Kiteboarding and they have truly made my experience of learning to kite unforgettable. Super kind and knowledgeable instructors with a saftey/rescue boat made me feel super safe throughout the experience. Their instructors helped me level up SO quickly from learning to stay up wind to getting big air!

Top of the line school in South Florida. Melissa and crew are enthusiastic, professional, patient, and eager to share their stoke for the sport. Each and every one involved in her operation is first class and puts the safety of their students as first priority.

I've taken lessons with a few companies across the world, and South Florida Kite is by far the best. The kite conditions 20 minutes off the dock in Miami are excellent for learning, as you have no waves, consistent wind, and a sandbed/reef to stand on. The staff is super friendly, instructors are great, and the walkie talkie system for in-lesson instruction works well. The fully stocked mini-fridge for post-kite beers is an added bonus!

The entire team at South Florida Kiteboarding was amazing! 10/10 for experience, gear, friendliness, facilities, location, and especially instruction. Melissa and her team’s communication and planning skills were excellent and the location is second to none. Couldn’t ask for a better, more enthusiastic and helpful group of people to learn such an awesome sport!
