Kainetic Adventures

I've been kiting with Kainetic for the past 4 years. Danny and crew run a fun, safe, and comprehensive school where they breakdown the basics for beginners and get you up and riding upwind after one or two lessons. They offer advanced classes after you are a competent, independent rider as well. Kite island where they run the school is an excellent location with knee to waist deep, mostly flat water for learning and progressing. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start kiting or wanting to have a great session on the island.

Kainetic Adventures use an excellent site for teaching kiteboarding. The water is shallow and calm. Therefore you focus more on learning how to kiteboard rather than spend time chasing your board, and expending energy trying to control swimming board and kite. It preps you for deeper sea locations as you will focus on controlling your kite and staying up, so that when you finally get to regular deep sea you will not be overwhelmed. The team that runs the school had a great vibe. My session with them was fantastic and I look forward to going again.

Dave Studley was my instructor. I had an unusual fear based on my dated knowledge of the sport (before all the safety gear). Dave was precise and thorough on the beach. Obviously I needed more beach time to gain comfort. Once we moved into the water his emphasis on safety while instructing was super reassuring. I had a blast and super proud of myself for getting out there. Dave is a bad ass with his own efforts and totally tailored the lesson to my level.

Very encouraging instructor! The story of her progression is inspiring for me to continue with my own and expand my abilities. If you find yourself in a rut in your progression, she will help to build you back up to learning new tricks!

Instructors are very knowledgeable and safety-oriented. The lesson format makes it very easy to quickly learn and retain skills, and is great for beginners trying to become independent and stay upwind as well as intermediate/advanced riders who want to expand their skills. Everyone is also super friendly and welcoming.

I can’t say anything more then wow. Danny and his crew were amazing. They took care of me and made me feel at home. I was learning so much on my own time. Danny knows how to run a good class can’t wait for my next one

The use of radios for communication between instructor and pupil and the availability of various kites are a real bonus that kainetic provides. Such valuable tools to enable fast progress. The coaching is excellent and the extended time on the water provides exactly what you need to make solid progress in the lesson.

The progress I made on day one far exceeded any expectations and kite island is the perfect way to learn. Anne is very thorough in her teaching but focuses on getting in practice as quickly as possible and it pays off. The whole crew at kainetic are super friendly and there is obvious long term connections with more experience lifers that came through the school. Highly recommended!

I've been able to progress because of instructor's attention to detail and patience. Anne, Danny, Karl and David, the instructors I met so far are the best of the best. I'm looking forward to learning more from them.

A great first day on the water with Kainetic Adventures. My instructor Anne was super helpful and patient with my progress, and thanks to her I was able to stand on the board toward the end of the day. She really focused on my bad habits and taught me how to correct them. Looking forward to Board Skills and learning to ride upwind!
