Jesse McCourt

I was refereed to Jesse from a fantastic former instructor (non-IKO cert, but one of the best my family and I had learned from) and Jesse got me up and running on a foil board with great care for my safety and nervousness! I would recommend Jesse and his school "Off The Hook Kiteboarding" in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, to any one of any level looking for a great teacher!

There are two things that I look for in an instructor: 1.- He has to be a very good kitersurfer 2.- He has to be able to explain and communicate well to transfer his knowledge. Jesse has both and also great personality. I plan to keep on taking lessons from Jesse. I just don't want to look around if I am already satisfied with my instructor. Highly recommendable.

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Jesse and his teaching skills. Jesse has been my instructor from day one. He has taken me from land lessons to learning how to unhook. Every step of the way Jesse has made sure that my safety came first and fun/progression was almost a given. Jesse is the absolute best when it comes to teaching every aspect of kiteboarding, and he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to gear, riding conditions, and locations. Jesse is always willing to lend advice, help with pointers, and he is always working hard to keep the beach safe. If anyone takes lessons with a different instructor they are simply missing out!

Great teacher, good communication with thorough feedback on safety and technical skills. And it was hella fun

Not only is Jesse a great rider, but he is also a great instructor. He's smart and knows how to communicate with you. Had me on my feet the first day out. Can't recommend enough. A++
