Robert Emsbach

Robert has been an incredible teacher throughout the week that he has been my kitesurf instructor. He's very knowledgable, thorough, patient, confident, precise, and mixes in humour in an amusing way. He really went above and beyond to ensure that my first kitesurf experience as a beginning kitesurfer was a great one. Calm and collected, we went through every step required to steadily build confidence and capability, and he managed to teach me lots throughout the course of our sessions together. I had never expected I'd ride a kiteboard within a couple of serious and long sessions, but here I am! I can wholeheartedly recommend Robert as an instructur to anyone who's thinking of picking up kitesurfing and who is looking to do a kitesurfing course! Just do it! You won't regret.

Robert delivered the course with a strong focus on safety while remaining extremely motivating throughout. Safety-relevant procedures were explained clearly and applied consistently, without ever reducing the enjoyment of kiting. His feedback was precise, easy to understand, and perfectly adapted to the individual learning level. This allowed me to make fast progress while learning in a sustainable way. Overall, he played a key role in making kiting feel both safe and genuinely enjoyable for me.

Ich hatte eine unvergessliche Zeit, Robert war ein wirklich guter Instructor. Ich habe mich sehr gut betreut und aufgehoben gefühlt. Rob is the best kitesurfing instructor you can wish for. Super thorough, patient and exactly the right balance between fun and safety. He tells you everything you need to know exactly when you need it. He lets you experience the kite on your speed, but is always right there for you when you need him. That builds confidence in your abilities while you always have the safety net that’s so crucial as a beginner. His suggestions are always helpful and take you one step further. If something is not working, he adapts to the situation and gives you additional tips and info. If it hadn’t been for Rob, the kite would still fly me rather than the other way around! :)

I came with no experience, and left with a hunger for more. My instructor Robert was very patient and was able to see where to push and when to pull back, while being very friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was very good, just bring good sunscreen and a secure pair of sunglasses and the crew will set you up with the rest!!

J’ai particulièrement apprécié la patience et le dévouement de mon formateur. Grâce à sa compétence j’ai pu en en quelques leçons acquérir les bases nécessaires à la poursuite de la pratique du kitesurf en France. Si l’occasion devait se représenter, je n’hésiterai pas à faire de nouveau appel à ses services.

Rob always emphasised following IKO safety standards. He taught me everything I need to be a truly independent and confident kiteboarder and not just the fun stuff. He was very encouraging and gave me the confidence to try out new things. He adjusted the pace to my progress. I also appreciated that he always explained the theory behind the techniques we were learning and practicing.

I took a kite course with Rob. We went through all the steps one by one. Rob gave me great support with everything and gave me enough freedom to try everything out myself. He was very patient and gave 100% of his effort. I can definitely recommend Rob. I felt very comfortable with him and now after the course I feel confident on the water with the kite and the equipment. Thank you!!!;
