Juan is the best kitesurfing instructor in Colombia. He is very calm and transmits this to the students, while he is always careful and ready to act. Chivor ir a Paradise and the only school on a car ride from Bogotá!

Juan was a great instructor! I had no experience doing watersports before taking the kitesurf course, and he started from the very basics with me. Juan was always attentive and only pushed me to a level that was safe. I highly recommend taking the entire course, because you'll be able to see your improvement along the way. Chivorkite only uses safe, quality equipment which also made me feel comfortable. By taking the course on the lake, I was then able to practice kitesurf on the ocean with more waves. Each person is different, and sometimes I dealt with anxiety while entering the water, but he knows how to speak to you in a patient way, which really helps. I recommend Juan as your instructor and Chivorkite if you want to learn how to ride in a safe, comfortable environment, and learn the correct technique.

I wanted to try something new and I could not have asked for an easier way than the way that Juan instructs!!! His patience is amazing and the breaking down of the course made it very easy to understand what needed to happen. I would absolutely say that it was one of the best instructions I have had!! Cant wait to go back!!!

As an 'over the hill' female in a foreign country, I had no thought of learning an Extreme Sport- until I saw the passion my new co-living friends had for Kiting. Juan, my instructor, covered all safety and setup right away then started with the kite - what an experience! Soon I was on the water, and very far away, when I had my first bad crash - having to pull the first safety. Although I had been taught what to do, I was a bit overwhelmed - and then here comes Juan - swimming all the way out to me. His first words? 'Perfect! Well done!' He gives me a high five and asks me what I thought went wrong, explains why, and proceeds to re-teach me how to get the kite back and get to shore- all the while being so encouraging and patient. If you want an instructor that knows his stuff AND cares about your experience, go to ChivorKite and ask for Juan. :)

Exceptional across-the-board. Everything was extremely well ran and the communication was super. The food was only topped by the people. I not only learned how to kite but gained a family in the process as well. 10/10 would recommend ChivorKite.

Las clases siempre me hicieron sentir segura y se adecuaron a mi ritmo de aprendizaje. Juan tiene el don de la paciencia y su forma de enseñar me ayudo a aprender sintiéndome siempre escuchada y tranquila.

He tomado tres cursos y sin duda en la que mas avance he tenido es en este ultimo, creo yo a que es el primer curso que tomo con instructores IKO. Las clases con Juan superaron mis expectativas en el proceso de aprendizaje! La paciencia y el compromiso lograron que pueda aprender y disfrutar cada parte del proceso. Juan transmite muchísima tranquilidad en sus clases demostrando la pasión por el deporte. Durante las clases siempre me sentí segura y acompañada, con los elementos de seguridad necesarios. Sin duda seguiré destrabando nuevos retos en este deporte con ellos!

Me encanto el curso, profesores muy serios, profesionales y preparados. Quedo tranquila con poder tener todas las bases desde armar el equipo, rescate y navegar para poder hacerlo de ahora en adelante. Muchas gracias!
