Karolina Ankiewicz

Thanks to Karol, I was able to take the first steps in learning kitesurfing. I really enjoyed the time with her and felt really comfortable with the kite after only three days! Can absolutely recommend her as a fantastic coach :)

I was fortunate with the weather during my time at the kite school in Sicily, which allowed me numerous opportunities to practice. I had 1-2 sessions per day. The equipment provided was excellent, and they were quick to make changes when the wind conditions shifted. I had the privilege of taking private lessons with instructor Carolina, who conducted them in English. She explained things very clearly and was willing to repeat instructions as many times as I needed. Additionally, she assigned homework in the form of instructional videos for extra practice. The spot itself was fantastic: shallow waters, warm temperatures, and excellent wind conditions. Furthermore, the school had a bar with food, drinks, and water available. You could either purchase or rent all the necessary equipment right on-site or nearby.

It was the best spot I’ve been so far and the best progress that I had with a short time I’ve been on the spot. Great guiding together with some luck with the wind improved my kiting a lot.

I’ve been very lucky to have Karolina as my first kiteboarding instructor. I had several lessons with her in Lo Stagnone, and it was more than I could have hoped for: amazing explanation and demonstration, clear instructions, lots of encouragement and useful tips. Karolina helped me overcome my anxiety and I felt very safe and comfortable during our sessions. She’d give me thorough feedback on everything, so I never had to guess why I couldn’t do something properly or why the kite did what it did :) I totally fell in love with this beautiful sport and feel very eager to continue my lessons.

I progressed well with 4 hours of private lessons here, this enabled me to hire equipment from the school with the comfort of "supervised hire" to make me feel safer as I stepped out into the water alone.

First time for me with Follow The Wind and I'm happy with their Service. Instructor knows her stuff, yet, she was not so very talkative... Anyway, she explained what I "had to know" well ... and then I had to DO IT... You can get all the 'talk' you want, but in the end, YOU gotta do it and feel it... so, the approach was a bit like the instructor I had in Tenerife... Not to much talk.., but go DO it, TRY it, get a feel for it... Instructor showed me the self-rescue in a very good way. I felt 100% safe in the water with her next to me or close to me. (I also got a lot of info about the water start from youtube-video's wich was a great help to 'get going'). Follow The Wind kite-school has good R&D gear that is oftentimes 'ready to go', wich saves time. All-in-all my experience with this Kite-school is good and pleasant.

Super professional kite school, with the newest equipment and also different types of equipment for almost every wind conditions. The use of waterproof radios made the lessons much more effective and fun, as well as the renting. By renting they were always there watching for you, which gives you a lot of confidence. Karol, is a great teacher. She made me improve a lot with only some hours of lessons. She explained me everything very clearly and was able to correct me exactly at the right points. Gabor and his whole team are very attentive and made sure you feel good and safe not only as kite surfer, but also as a tourist in the beatiful Sicily.

I had the pleasure of learning from Karolina from the very beginning. Karolina is a very solid instructor who can transfer knowledge in an effective way adapted to the student. She is demanding but does not put pressure on students. Thanks to her ability to focus attention on the lesson, you will progress quickly. She is really liked by the kids. I recommend this instructor to students of all levels.

The team was really nice! We were two beginners and three couches. Two of them were with us in the water to teach us various techniques and the third instructor was overseeing us from the boat. I felt really supported and in good hands in general. The only downside was a rather long boattrip to our kite spot and back to the school but we used the time for theory lessons and a really nice smalltalk :) I would recommend the school to anyone who would like to learn kitesurfing!

Follow the wind allo Stagnone ci ha accolto immediatamente con cordialità e gentilezza. Il proprietario Gabor ha ottimi equipaggiamenti (tutti nuovissimi) e strutture ed è assolutamente disponibile per consigli e aiuti anche al di fuori delle lezioni. Ho fatto delle ore di lezione individuale con Karo che con professionalità e precisione mi ha corretto rapidamente errori che commettevo facendomi fare enormi progressi, rendendomi nel giro di un paio di ore completamente indipendente. I prezzi del noleggio sono assolutamente in linea con quelli delle altre strutture presenti sul luogo, ma di certo, avendone provate anche altre in passato, posso confermare che queste sono di gran lunga le migliori attrezzature. Assolutamente raccomandato sotto tutti i punti di vista e tornerò sicuramente volentieri al loro centro al più presto!
